Distance education project of English idioms learning from watching YouTube

Idioms have been recognized to be commonly adopted by academic practitioners in their speech and writing. However, despite common occurrence English communication, idioms pose great challenges for non-native speakers, as they are often ignored classrooms. Particularly Vietnam, a minimal number of appear textbooks published the Ministry Education, teachers appeared under-emphasize idioms’ usefulness conversation. To fill gap, present study YouTube Vietnamese students undertake supplementary learning idiom knowledge. The recruited 34 randomly assigned them control group an experimental group. Both groups were required take notes during watching. Yet, only would extra exercises at end Immediate post-tests, delayed survey conducted. findings demonstrate that two retained knowledge similarly well. They also positive towards through YouTube. Pedagogical implications research suggestions provided conclude study.
